Overprocessed foods add 500 calories to your diet every day, causing wight gain

Less expensive and easier prepared overly processed foods are making people gain more weight through the consumption of more calories. These toxic foods contain industrial ingredients such as hydrogenated oils, high-fructose corn syrup, flavoring agents and emulsifiers. A month-long study was conducted at the National Institute of Health Clinical Center where adult volunteers were given overly processed foods and unprocessed foods. On the ultra processed diet, people ate faster and consumed 500 more calories a day because of the high quantities of carbohydrates and fat but not protein. They were gaining about 2 pounds, but the others were seen losing weight. Taste is not the only reason people eat this way, there are reasons such as cost and preparation time. Research shows that these industry engineered foods can lead to high blood pressure, obesity, and cancer. click here.
