New York Bomber Was Inspired by ISIS Christmas Attacks, Officials Say

Early Monday morning, during the height of rush hour in Manhattan’s busiest commuter areas, a man set off a pipe bomb, strapped to his body. This apparent act of terror left four people with minor injuries. The suspect suffered severe burns, but he was quickly brought into police custody. New York authorities believe the suspect acted alone. While several subway lines were evacuated for several hours, by the late morning, most began to re-open to much more somber and cautious New York commuters.
