Is Synthetic Weed Fueling Yemen’s Terrorism?

A new type of terrorism that many are unfamiliar with is narcoterrorism. Countries like Yemen are manufacturing and distributing synthetic drugs in the United States as a way to funnel millions back home. Yemen has been using a product named ‘Scooby Snax,’ distributing these harmful drugs secretly through gas stations, delis, and other businesses. These products lead to a sort of terrorism in itself, causing damage to younger Americans while making money to eventually fund their larger terrorism schemes. This newly arisen issue has caused some to speculate about the way society deals with addiction, suggesting that it may be a problem of national security and needs to be dealt with as such.
