On April 18th, 2018 federal jurors convicted three men for plotting to bomb an apartment complex where Muslim Somali refugees lived and prayed. The three men, Curtis Allen, Gavin Wright, and Patrick Stein were actively involved in the same militia that has been plotting the attack for some time. Their lawyers claimed that the defendants loved guns attempting to brush off their actions as being part of their “lifestyle” that was criminalized by the FBI. The arrest of the three men was carried out by an undercover FBI informant that infiltrated the militia group and continued to collect surveillance. The three men who call themselves “the Crusaders” will be sentenced in June. To read more about the arrest, click here.
