NPR: After last season where 80,000 people died from influenza, officials are trying to increase vaccination rates. In the United States the vaccination rate is approximately 47 percent, far lower than the desired 70 percent target. Some reasons to get vaccinated: you are vulnerable, it’s your civic duty, if you get the flu it will be milder, and pregnant women can protect their babies. Read the full article here.
