BBC: IPCC: Climate scientists consider ‘life changing’ report

There are major concerns for low-lying countries if the temperature rises more than 1.5 degrees Celsius this century. The Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) has been working for about three years to set up a body of work including the causes, impacts, and possible solutions to the increase in global temperature. This week in Incheon, South Korea, government delegates and scientists will be working together to create a report to help guide nations in creating economies while being aware of climate change. This report’s controversy is based around the inability to meet 1.5C, especially in countries that rely heavily on fossil fuels.
