CNN: Lion Air crash: Indonesia to inspect all Boeing 737 Max 8 planes

On Monday, October 29th at 6:30 a.m., a Boeing plane en route from Jakarta to Pangkal Pinang crashed into the sea minutes after takeoff, and authorities believe all 189 people on board were killed. As a result of this event, Indonesia has ordered an inspection of all Boeing 737 Max 8 planes, one of the newest and most advanced jets. The cause of the crash is still unknown, and it was reported that the night before the crash the plane was having issues, but repairs were carried out. In addition, attention will fall on the general safety record of Indonesia’s aviation industry, which has long lagged behind other countries in the region.
