CNN: In world first, HIV-positive woman donates kidney to HIV-positive recipient

The passage of the HIV Organ Policy Equity (HOPE) Act in 2013 allowed for more research on HIV-positive organ donations. This has led an Atlanta woman to become the first living HIV-positive kidney donor in the world. Both the donor and the recipient of the kidney are doing well. For more information, click here.
