Intimate partner homicide is large issue in the United States that does not seem to be better; in fact, the rates have been increasing. Of all the female homicide victims in the U.S., about half of them are killed by an intimate partner, someone who they previously were or currently are dating.

There are many specific policies that could contribute to addressing the issue, like the reauthorization of the Violence Against Women Act, for example.
