A Canadian health monitoring platform called Bluedot uses an AI driven algorithm to monitor and predict the spread of diseases. The algorithm uses global airline ticketing data, reports of animal disease outbreaks, and foreign news reports in 65 languages to generate data. Epidemiologists further analyze the data to confirm whether the results scientifically support the spread of a disease. Bluedot was able to notify public health officials on December 31 of the potential outbreak of the Coronavirus, whereas, the CDC notified the public on January 6. For more information click here.
