The Hill: Texas sees 1,000 new coronavirus cases 5 days in a row

As a result of easing restriction orders and opening businesses towards the end of April, the state of Texas has seen rapid increases in the number of coronavirus cases. Despite pleas by Dr. Anthony Fauci to maintain social distancing orders, Texas state officials are declaring these reopening phases more paramount than individual stay-at-home orders.
