CNBC: Fauci debunks theories of low CDC coronavirus death toll: ‘There are 180,000-plus deaths’ in U.S.

President Trump supported this new count by retweeting it on his Twitter, suggesting to his followers that only 6% of the 180,000 deaths during this pandemic were caused by coronavirus, and the rest were due to other illnesses. Dr. Fauci, the director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases, debunked these reports, suggesting that although comorbidities may be present, the hundreds of thousands of deaths these past couple months can be deemed coronavirus-related.
