NPR: Inexpensive Steroids Can Save Lives Of Seriously Ill COVID-19 Patients

Three new studies present strong support for the effectiveness of some inexpensive and widely available steroid drugs for highly sick Covid-19 patients. Originally, doctors mentioned steroids could inhibit the body’s effectiveness in fighting the disease. Now, with the three supported studies, the C.D.C updated its guidelines to support the use of steroids for Covid-19 patients who are severely ill, but did differentiate that patients with milder sickness should not intake steroids.
