Reuters: Positive COVID-19 test rates top 25% in some U.S. Midwest states

While larger spared from the impacts of COVID-19 in the earlier stages of the pandemic, many midwestern states, such as Montana, The Dakotas, and Wyoming are seeing record-setting daily case counts, in addition to test positivity rates much higher than before. While states along the East Coast, such as New York and Vermont, are seeing low single digit test positivity rates, midwestern states such as North Dakota are seeing rates as high as 30%, a frightening rate indicating potentially poor behavior during the recent Labor Day weekend.
