With another rise of gun violence in the country, President Biden calls it “an international embarrassment”. He begins with addressing the increase in ghost guns, which are firearms that are assembled from kits. He calls for changes in administration with the epidemic of gun shootings that kills about 100 Americans a day. To begin, he directs the Justice Department in limiting the proliferation of ghost guns by issuing regulation within a month to require serial numbers on the kits and background checks for those purchasing the weapons, which would be classified as firearms. Red flag laws are also being recommended, which would allow police officers and family members to petition the suspension of firearms of an individual that might seem to cause threat to themselves or others.
