NBC News: COVID-19 booster shot’s side effects similar to 2nd vaccine dose, CDC study finds

The booster shot side effects have been found to closely mirror those of the second dose. According to a recent CDC study, the majority of side effects were mild in nature with arm soreness, fatigue, and headache as the most commonly reported symptoms. Since mid-August, nearly 2.8 million Americans, who are either ages 65 or older or at higher risk of Covid due to underlying conditions or their occupation, have received a booster shot. According to Dr. Helen Keipp Talbot, an associate professor of medicine at Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville, even though the CDC is very comfortable with the safety of the vaccines, the ongoing effort to monitor adverse reactions will not be stopping any time soon.
