NYTimes: Supreme Court Blocks Biden’s Virus Mandate for Large Employers

Despite allowing a  vaccination requirement for all healthcare workers that work where federal money is received, the Supreme Court did not pass a ruling that would mandate vaccination or testing for big companies. Those who voted against the employee mandate said that it would infringe on the lives and health of employees, despite the main goal of the legislation to in fact save lives. The three judges who supported the law said that it would have been smarter to allow OSHA to decide on regulations, given that their purpose is to protect the health and safety of America’s workers. OSHA did just so in November, mandating vaccines, but now big companies have the flexibility to decide what kinds of regulations to put in place.
