Poughkeepsie Journal: What happens if you miss a second vaccine dose?

With the rising number of people registering for the vaccine, stocks eventually run low and many people are unable to get their second dose of the Pfizer or the Modern vaccine “in time”. Many appointments have been cancelled due to lack of supplies, spiking a fear in those due for a 2nd dose.
 
The CDC recommends to get the second dose within the normal 3-4 week time frame, but if you’re a part of the population whose second appointment was cancelled, know that the second dose can be given up to 6 weeks after the first dose. Even then, by your 2nd dose, you should be still fully vaccinated.
