Los Angeles Times: Newsom, legislators strike deal to reopen California schools with $2 billion in incentives for campuses

California governor Gavin Newsom and legislators plan to announce their plans for reopening schools this week. School districts across the state will be given $2 billion to open up school for children in transitional kindergarten through second grade. The plan also provides financial incentives to districts that provide in-person classes in counties with fewer than 25 new daily cases per 100,000.
