CNN: White House sketches a future in which normal life and Covid-19 coexist

In light of the flattening Omicron surge, the White House has discussed what coexisting with COVID-19 without interruptions to normal life would look like. White House COVID-19 response coordinator Jeff Zients on Wednesday said vaccines and other treatments will be the main tools in treating and protecting against the virus so we can reach the point where daily life is not affected. Dr. Fauci has ensured we are not at this point though, he said the daily case, death, and hospitalization rate is much too high to say we have reached an “acceptable situation”. Dr. Fauci also promoted increased vaccination as the primary way for COVID-19 to reach a similar status as Influenza and RVS. The Biden administration also announced a milestone that had been reached, 400 million COVID-19 vaccine doses sent around the world.
