Many signs of stress were found in trees across Seattle after this decade’s arid, hot summer climate. At the Washington Park Arboretum, which is a 230-acre park, a few significant trees showed stress which were last efforts to reproduce. Even with protocols such as President Biden’s Inflation Reduction Act, which allocated $1.5 billion into planting and maintaining trees in urban areas, trees and other plants experience climate conditions that they cannot withstand.
