Joe Tsai, a Canadian billionaire businessman, and his wife, Clara Wu Tsai, have donated 2.6 million masks, 170,000 goggles, and 2000 ventilators to New York — the US epicenter of the coronavirus pandemic. Mrs. Tsai said that her intention is to help the most underserved institutions in the community. Joe Tsai is a co-founder of the Chinese e-commerce business Alibaba, the owner of the Brooklyn Nets NBA basketball team, and the owner of the Brooklyn’s Barclays Center arena.
