The Science: Congo’s Ebola Outbreak is Not Yet a Global Emergency

The Science: This outbreak began back in September of 2018, but has yet to be controlled. Despite concern, the decision to not make the outbreak a global emergency was unanimous. World Health Organization officials along with United Nations representatives feel “moderately optimistic” about the current situation. Other experts have expressed great concern and feel that the outbreak is still extremely alarming. Read more here.
