Bill allowing Texans to carry handguns after natural disasters goes to governor’s desk for signature

A new Texan legislative bill that would allow Texan citizens to carry their guns for a full week after a natural disaster is headed to the governor’s desk. Currently, in order to carry a handgun, one must pass a course, a background check, a shooting test, and pay a fee. This new bill would allow Texans to defend themselves from looters, according to the National Rifle Association.
