NPR: The End Of Guinea Worm Was Just Around the Corner. Not Anymore

In the 1980’s, around 3 million people experienced the parasitic effects of the Guinea worm. Last year, this number was down to 28. Due to a series of setbacks, however, the World Health Organization has moved its expected Guinea worm eradication date from 2020 to 2030. For more information, click here.
