NPR: Philadelphia Nonprofit Opening Nation’s First Supervised Injection Site Next Week

After a two-year fight, the Philadelphia nonprofit Safehouse will be opening the first location in the U.S. where people who are struggling with addiction can use opioids and illegal drugs under the supervision of trained medical staff.
