Vaping is a public health issue of rising concern, especially to middle and high school students. Their use rates have increased from 1.5% in 2011 to 27.5% in 2019. At the conclusion of 2019, the Center for Disease Control (CDC) identified over 2,500 cases of severe lung injures associated with the use of e-cigarettes.
