Bloomberg: 1 Million People Infected: How Coronavirus Spread Around the World

The number of COVID-19 cases has reached one million as of April 2, 2020, just four months after the virus was discovered in Wuhan, China. As a highly contagious virus that shows little to no early symptoms, COVID-19 has rapidly surpassed all recent outbreaks in size and scale. The United States has the most cases in the world, with 234,000 cases. Next is Italy with 115,000 cases and the highest death toll of any country with almost 14,000 COVID-19 related deaths.
