NYTimes: Report Traces Rising Prevalence of Semiautomatic Pistols in Gun Crimes

A report with data from 2017-2021 found that many guns linked to crime during this time were semiautomatic pistols. It also reiterated the common profile of where these guns are coming from, including those used in crimes and thefts, by men under the age of 40. Besides the statistics the study shares, it also represents an increased transparency of information for the public.
