NBC: Smoking Hits All-Time Low in U.S.

According to government figures, smoking among adults and teens has reached an ‘all time low.’ They attribute this to an increased understanding of the harmful consequences of smoking cigarettes. They speculate that the development of electronic cigarettes and vaping may play a role as well. The percentage of adult smokers in the U.S. is down to fourteen percent and for high school age teens, nine percent. The new trend of vaping is considered better than smoking cigarettes, however it may create a new way for people to become addicted to nicotine.
