CNN: Gigantic hole two-thirds the size of Manhattan discovered in Antarctic glacier

A team at NASA recently discovered a gigantic hole, about two-thirds the size of Manhattan and 1,000 feet tall, growing in Thwaites Glacier in Antarctica. The size and growth rate of this cavity shocked researchers who hope to learn the speed at which sea levels will rise with climate change. The glacier contains enough ice to increase the global sea level by two feet.
