News Information from NASA and NOAA proves that 2015 – 2018 have been the four hottest years on record since 1880 with average global surface temperatures rising about 2 degrees Fahrenheit. These heat trends are most prevalent in the polar regions with the melting of ice sheets and glaciers. Consensus within the scientific community has shown that human activity is the principle cause of global warming, specifically coal-burning power plants.
