Rotting food and endangered patients: How Venezuelans are faring during continuing nationwide power outages

The recent blackout in Venezuela has caused at least 17 reported deaths at hospitals due to the power outages. Hospitals have been left to use their generators (if they even have one), and all public transportation has been stopped due to the power outages. Some areas had their electricity restored on Sunday, although failing just a few hours later. Venezuela’s government has, not surprisingly blamed the United States.
