Teen Suicide is Now a Public Health Crisis

The CUT: Recent studies have indicated a 56% jump in teenage suicide rates from 2007 to 2017, becoming the second-most common form of death for teenagers. Psychologists are examining the possible reasons for this jump, the biggest one being exposure to the media and its influences. In fact, after the release of the Netflix TV show 13 Reasons Why, suicide rates in adolescents age 10-17 rose due to its portrayal of suicide. See the full article here
