Scientific American: Experts Warn of Possible Sustained Global Spread of New Coronavirus

Experts say that it may no longer be feasible to contain the coronavirus in China; however, failure to stop the virus in China will lead to an international outbreak and perhaps even join the respiratory diseases that regularly infect people. Toronto-based infectious disease specialist Dr. Allison McGeer suggests that the more we learn about the coronavirus, the lesser the possibility that we will be able to contain the virus using public health measures.
