Fox News: Los Angeles County drops plan to reimpose mask mandate, citing decrease in COVID cases
The Los Angeles County Department of Public Health has announced that the indoor COVID-19 mask mandate will not be reinstated as there has been a drop in cases in recent weeks. On July 14 the department said a new indoor mask mandate was on the table if the county continued to be placed in the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s high level of COVID-19 transmission which is more than 10 new COVID-19 hospitalizations per 100,000 residents. The CDC still considers Los Angeles County in the high level as there are currently 11.7 new hospitalizations per 100,000 residents, but levels are dropping towards medium levels.
