Yahoo! News: ‘Devastating’: Pandemic learning loss needs urgent attention in U.S., national survey finds

Throughout the country, the pandemic has caused “educational harm” across all subjects to public school students. Those in lower income communities were affected even more, due to factors such as a higher rate of death from COVID and less access to consistent Internet for online classes. The pandemic has further widened the education gap, and educators are calling for districts to make a concerted effort to make up for the learning lost during the past couple years.
