The Washington Post: Atlantic Ocean Circulation Close To Reaching “Tipping Point”

Global warming has had significant negative effects on the circulation of the Atlantic Ocean and in the past 2 decades, scientists have found that the ocean is close to experiencing its “tipping point” where circulation would fully shut down within a century, causing catastrophic global consequences. Without circulation of the Atlantic ocean, which responsible for bringing heat to Europe and transporting ocean water, there would be a significant decrease in average temperatures all over the world.
