Forbes: Climate Change May Worsen Effects of Nervous System Disorders

A study published on Wednesday in Lancet Neurology studied the impacts of temperature rise as a result of climate change on nervous system disorders. The study found that the risk of dying from strokes or dementia increases in higher temperatures as well as hospitalizations. Because of cognitive impairments, individuals with dementia and other neurological disorders have greater difficulty adapting to changing conditions like temperature extremes.
