The pneumonic plague death toll in Madagascar is already five times the average. Officials state that there have been 174 deaths, as well as 82 doctors infected. Schools have been canceled for the month to keep individuals safe as this plague is an airborne easily transmissible disease. The World Health Organization states that the plague can spread to other countries. Note that the pneumonic form of plague is also a bio-threat agent.
