Air pollution linked to ‘extremely high mortality’ in people with mental disorders

Researchers have noticed a link between poor air quality and mortality among people suffering from mental and behavioral disorders. While researchers do not yet have a clear explanation for this connection, some possible theories include an increase in acute depression on hazy days or how small particles of air pollution can affect mental development.
