The Guardian: Record-breaking heatwave to hit Australia’s south-east, restricting sporting events
The Tour Down Under cycling route in Australia was shortened due to a five-day extreme heatwave, as well as other sports activities and events. The temperatures are forecast to exceed 40-degree Celcius. Such heatwave occurs in many parts in Australia, causing severe inconvenience and challenge to people’s lives.
