BBC News: UK’s Plan to Fight Antibiotic Resistance Globally

BBC News: A new five-year plan is being unveiled in the United Kingdom to attempt to combat drug-resistant superbugs. The plan will attempt to cut antibiotic use in humans by 15% over the next five years. A new payment plan for pharmaceutical companies will also be enforced; payment will be made based on how valuable medications are instead of based on quantities sold. The goal by 2025 is to cut down drug-resistant infections by 10% and prevent at least 15,000 patients per year from getting infections.  Read more about this here.
