San Diego officials warn of spike in ‘wind-borne’ children’s disease

Kawasaki disease, a wind-borne disease that affects children under the age of five, has affected 16 children since the start of 2019 in San Diego. Wind-born diseases are diseases in which the infective particles are carried through the air by the wind. Officials warn parents about this disease outbreak, which can lead to heart malfunctions or even death if left untreated. San Diego County Public Health Officials are doing what they can to stop the spread of this disease.
