NBC News: CBD oil may help limit cravings and anxiety in heroin users, study finds

From inflammation to muscle soreness, CBD has been proven to greatly relieve pain. Now, researchers at Mount Sinai Hospital in New York have discovered that CBD has the potential to reduce cravings and anxiety in heroin addicts. In the study, the researchers looked at 42 men and women, ages 21 to 65, with heroin use disorder. Half the group was given 400mg or 800mg of CBD once daily, and the other half was given a placebo. The group that received CBD has significantly reduced drug cravings and reported less anxiety when looking at pictures of people using drugs. CBD continued to reduce cravings and anxiety for a week.
