Artificial light during sleep puts women at risk of obesity

According to studies, women that sleep with a television or light puts women at a higher risk  of becoming overweight or obese. The rate of obesity has almost tripled across the globe since the 1970’s, and in the United States there is about 70% of the population overweight or obese. Doctor Dale P. Sandler ran a study that involved 43,722 women and their exposure to artificial light at night. The results showed that the more light a woman experienced in her sleep environment, the higher her body mass index and waist to hip ratio. Also sleep duration was shorter, and physical activity and healthful eating scores were lower. click here.
