CBS News: Two cases of pneumonic plague confirmed in Beijing

Two cases of pneumonic plague are being treated in Inner Mongolia, a northwestern province of China. According to the World Health Organisation (WHO), pneumonic plague is more dangerous than the bubonic plague and can be fatal within 1-3 days of contraction. The Chinese’s National Health Commission has reported five deaths from the pneumonic plague since 2014. For more information click here.
