Albany Herald: Georgia shows 113% four-decade increase in natural disasters

Georgia has seen a rampant increase in natural disaster occurrences in the past 40 years. In the most recent decade, Georgia saw 32 natural disasters, more than double the amount in the past 20 years. Officials are seeing similar trends across the country, especially in states that tend to have many fires – they tend to believe certain changes in climate are increasing the likelihood of a disaster.
