CNN: Asian Americans are buying guns in the wake of recent attacks, but community leaders say that’s not the way to prevent hate crimes
Due to the rise of Asian American hate crimes in the United States following the official announcement of the pandemic, many Asian Americans have began to take protective measures by purchasing guns. Gun sales have increased, however, many urge that this is not the solution. Gun violence and safety has always been a controversial issue, and various debates have sparked about whether or not these firearms will prevent violence in the long run.
