NYTimes: Arizona Could Lose Relief Funds for Undermining School Mask Mandates

Arizona is one of many states that has banned mask mandates in schools. However, the state is still happily accepting relief funds from the federal government. Essentially, the state is providing funding to all public and charter schools that abide by all state laws regarding COVID. Being that mask mandates are banned, any school that chooses to impose one loses out on this funding. They are even going so far as to provide money to families wishing to leave school districts that are imposing mask mandates. The Biden administration does not approve of these allocations, and has given Arizona 30 days to alter where the funds are going, or they will lose some of the aid.
